What Is “Context”?

Learning about Context

Context is your private note-taking space inside MBSPro — designed for thoughts you don’t say out loud, but still need to document.

In real consultations, GPs don’t verbalize every clinical impression, suspicion, or decision point. That’s where Context comes in.

🩺 Why Use Context?

During or after a consult, you may think:

“This symptom feels inconsistent.”

“Family dynamics seem to be impacting the case.”

“Patient might not be fully compliant.”

These are important insights — but not ones you'd include in the visible consult note or say in front of the patient.

With the Context tab in MBSPro, you can capture them privately for your own clinical reference.

What Can You Record in Context?

You can use Context to jot down:

  • Observations (e.g., “Patient avoided eye contact when asked about alcohol use”)

  • Hypotheses (e.g., “Rule out early Parkinson’s – mild resting tremor noted”)

  • Follow-up considerations

  • Shorthand notes during consult

  • Clarifications or doubts about a patient’s history

  • Screening reminders or test suggestions

Example Entry:

“Patient accompanied by overly controlling family member – may influence responses. Mild cognitive signs, consider mini-mental next visit.”

Where to Find It

In MBSPro, you’ll find Context as a tab next to your Summary Notes.
Just click and start typing — no structure required.
