What Microphone is Best?

To achieve the best performance, we recommend any high quality omnidirectioanl microphone which you can purchase here. Long-range, omni-directional microphones are ideal for capturing conversations, even if the patient is across the room (e.g., during an exam).


How to Connect a Microphone

To connect your microphone using Google Chrome:

  1. Connect your microphone to your device.
  1. Open Google Chrome
  1. Go to the MBSPro app site here
  1. When prompted, allow Google Chrome to use your microphone by selecting Allow.
  1. You can check your microphone is working with the built in microphone check within the MBSPro website in the top right hand corner. Simply click on the little microphone in the top right hand corner

Fixing Microphone Issues

If your microphone isn’t working, try these steps:

  1. Check the Connection: Ensure your microphone is securely plugged in.
  1. Google Chrome Settings:
      • Open Google Chrome
      • Click on Settings in the top right corner.
      • Go to Privacy and Security > Site Settings > Microphone.
  1. Test the Microphone: Test your microphone on another app or website. Search for "Microphone Test" on Google for online testing tools.
  1. Restart Your Computer: A simple restart may resolve the issue.
  1. Check System Microphone Settings:

>Sound >Input. Select your microphone and ensure it’s turned on.
