MBS Planner Overview
The MBS Planner is where all recommended MBS items for a patient’s care will appear. The planner is divided into:
- Chronic Disease Items 🌡️
- Non-Chronic Disease Items 🩺
Each item's value is tallied at the bottom of the planner, helping you keep track of total billings. The MBS Planner is designed to ensure:
- Maximized Rebates 💸 — Reducing out-of-pocket costs for your patients.
- Optimized Earnings 🏥 — Ensuring you don’t miss out on billable rebates for the quality care you provide.

Macros & Templates
Macros and Templates help you quickly organize your consults the way you prefer, with customizable AI-assisted summaries 🧠 that structure your consults to be efficient and MBS-compliant.
How They Work:
- Macros 🔄: Type
/followed by an item number (e.g.,/2712), and press Enter. The mental health care plan review macro will auto-populate in your compose screen. This lets you build an efficient, structured consult flow.
- Templates 📄: Stored within certain MBS items, templates help you structure specific consults. For example:
- 721 Care Plan: Opens a care plan template that you can fill out directly.
- 93644/5 (COVID Vaccine): Click to insert a COVID-related template in your compose box, or select Create Document to summarize COVID discussions.
